Handlooms in Every Home Ghar Ghar Hathkargha
The Ghar Ghar Hathkargha Program is changing lives in rural Bharat by bringing handlooms into people’s homes. This initiative helps families earn good incomes while staying together and working in their villages. So far, it has helped over 300 families in 20 villages earn regular incomes of ₹50,000 or more every month. By making handwoven fabrics at home, families not only improve their finances but also preserve Bharat’s rich cultural heritage.

How the Program Works
This program gives families a handloom they can use at home.
Nodal centers provide everything needed for weaving, like yarn, designs, and training.
Families weave fabrics at home and bring them back to the center.
After quality checks, they are paid fair wages for their work.
The program allows flexibility, so families can work around their farming schedules or household duties. This is especially helpful for women and small farmers who find it hard to leave home for work.

Our Story
Real-Life Story
Take the example of Shyamlal, a young man from Madiya village. He used to earn just ₹2,000 a month as a temporary schoolteacher. He left his job and moved to a city for work but found it hard to save money because of high living costs. After joining the Ghar Ghar Hathkargha Program, he was trained in weaving and brought a handloom home. Now, he earns ₹18,000 a month while still farming and living with his family. He sends his kids to a better school and has built a proper house for his family.
